The Pricing Lady
One of the best things I did when starting my business was to book a pricing strategy package with Janene Liston, aka The Pricing Lady.
BEFORE meeting Janene this was how I came up with my prices (btw a price is NOT a pricing strategy):
First, I searched for what other health coaches in my area were charging.
Next, I thought about an hourly rate that I “felt comfortable” with.
Lastly, I took the recommendations from IIN where I received my certification.
After my time working with Janene I learned not just about pricing strategy but also about business strategy as well. I learned so much that I had to take several steps back and rethink my approach and offerings. I admit that it took the wind out of my sails to realize how much I DIDN’T know about my target audience or their willingness to pay. Learning this quickly meant that I started stronger even if it was later than I originally planned.
